Newport Bermuda online entry

Online registration for the 2010 Newport Bermuda Race is now open at www.BermudaRace.com.

In making the announcement Bjorn Johnson, Chairman, 2010 Newport Bermuda Race said, "Everyone who intends to apply for an invitation to race should begin the process now. History proves that the earlier you register and begin boat and crew preparation, the more successful you will be in the race."

The Newport Bermuda Race issued a short check-list to get teams focused on the entry process:

* Register on-line at www.BermudaRace.com
* Sign up skippers and crew for the March 13 - 14 Safety At Sea Seminar
* Renew or obtain your rating certificates
* Reserve dock space in Bermuda
* Obtain your and your crew's ISAF Sailor Classification
* Schedule and prepare for boat inspection
* Review the Trophies List to see which ones you are eligible for
* Enter the Onion Patch Series and join a team
* Check out special Bermuda Race Crew Gear
