New Zealand’s newest Sailability Group – Sailability Bay of Plenty – is offering a second Try a Sail day on Lake Rotorua on Saturday 6th March. They will have Access Dinghies at Motutara (sulphur) Point from 10 am to 4pm.
There are now active Sailability groups in Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay and Wellington, and Whangarei is in the process of getting up and running. Sailability Auckland are having a SKUD 18 (2 person Paralympic Yacht) have a go day on March 6 this is open to anyone that wants to go along and experience sailing this exciting boat.
Sailability is also looking for woman with minimal disability for training partners for the Kiwi SKUD 18 Paralympic Team. Sailing experience is a bonus but not essential you will need to have a willingness to learn and compete at a high level. The Taupo Mighty River Power Regatta is not far away on March 13th and 14th. Sailability members from all over the North Island will be competing in this event sailing the Access 2.3, 303 and Liberty yachts.
